MEET COLLETTE OUSELEY-MOYNAN, YOGA INSTRUCTOR
1. What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
Most people know I love to travel and that I used to be an elementary school teacher – but they may not know that I taught at an English language camp in Siberia one summer after I graduated from college!
2. How do you refuel after a workout?
Peanut butter (on apples, toast, bananas, etc.) and Yin Yoga.
3. What’s your fave time to workout – morning, afternoon, or evening?
I like a good mid-day, lunchtime workout or class.
4. Describe your health and fitness philosophy in one word. Why that word?
Respect. We show ourselves respect by showing up continually for our health and wellness, and when we honor the commitments we make to ourselves. We show our future selves respect by building healthy habits that become part of our daily lives. And we also show ourselves respect when we listen to our bodies and intuition about when we need to rest, dial it back, or change it up.
5. Is there a fun fact you’d like to share?
I’ve been teaching yoga for 16 years, and this summer I’ll be teaching at the June Telluride Yoga Festival for the first time! I’d love to have my CHF friends and fam join. Use promo code “TYFLOVECollette10” for a discount on your 3 or 4-day pass at this link.
Collette Ouseley-Moynan discovered yoga as a complement to her breath and body work while majoring in Acting. After working as a teacher for a few years, she decided to take her yoga practice to the next level and completed her teacher certification at the E-RYT 200 and 500 levels. Collette is also a published writer of the book ‘Foundational Yoga Flow‘, and the Social Media Coordinator for Castle Hill Fitness!
Collette strives to practice with intention — both on the mat and off! For her, this means moving with an open mind, a happy heart, and compassion for herself and others. Through teaching, she hopes to inspire a sense of community and to encourage her students to push past self-imposed physical and mental limits.
