Shamanic Drum Journey
with JennyO
Aug 9
Let the drum guide you to the deeper layers of your being.
Throughout history, the drum has been used in every culture for many purposes - in ceremonies such as religious rituals, sporting events, therapeutically, and as a way to communicate. Shamans have used drumming to reach altered or trance-like states so that they could connect with the spirit dimension.
The "medicine" drum is still used in many Native American ceremonies, for good reason. Drumming can promote physical and emotional healing, boost your immune system, and produce feelings of well-being. Research has shown that the sound waves have profound effects on our body's cells, and the physical transmission of rhythmic energy to the brain synchronizes the left and right hemispheres, frontal cortex, and brainstem. This integration strengthens your inner guidance system - or intuition - and produces feelings of insight and certainty.
JennyO's workshop will lead you on a meditative journey where the hypnotic beat of the drum acts as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. This powerful practice draws on indigenous traditions from around the world, offering a unique space for healing, reflection, and personal growth.
What to Expect:
- Opening Circle: A short account of the different spiritual worlds you can travel to, how to navigate through them, and intention-setting for your practice.
- Journeying with the Drum: A deeply meditative and immersive experience that takes you on a visionary voyage within.
- Integration: Time for reflection, journaling, and sharing insights, if you feel called to.
Whether you're seeking clarity, insight, or a deepened connection to your inner wisdom, the drum will guide you to the heart of your personal journey. No experience is necessary - just an open heart and a willingness to explore the deeper layers of your being.
