Cupping Techniques for Recovery and Mobility

with Aaron Rubinstein

Jul 19, 2026

A CUPPING WORKSHOP WITH OUR RESIDENT ACUPUNCTURIST

Join Aaron Rubinstein, Castle Hill’s acupuncturist for over 19 years, to learn how cupping therapy can help reduce pain, support circulation, promote muscle recovery, and maintain mobility. Often used alongside acupuncture in Chinese medicine, cupping works by helping release muscle tension and encouraging the flow of blood and fluids in the body.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • How cupping supports circulation and relieves muscle tension
  • How it is used to address common aches and areas of strain
  • How cupping complements acupuncture
  • Simple self-care cupping techniques to maintain mobility between treatments

This introductory workshop includes both demonstration and practice time. You’ll observe Aaron applying cups while he explains the techniques, then have the opportunity to practice on your own and with a partner.

Come with a partner or friend if you prefer to work with someone you know, or come solo, and you’ll be paired with another participant. Participation is always optional. For the best experience, consider wearing comfortable clothing that allows access to the shoulders and lower back.

Each participant will receive a set of cupping cups to use during the workshop and take home after to practice at home.
