Matt is a certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, and Mobility/Movement Specialist. He prides himself on the ability to draw from a wide variety of systems, techniques, and tools to assess and optimize body movement, improve joint function, and minimize injury, while also building strength and endurance. His background includes decades of yoga, kickboxing, rock climbing, rowing, track/cross country, Thai Massage, building and managing fitness centers, and all the challenges of parenting! Matt specializes in making fitness fun and accessible for all types of people and building community. His approach is highly intentional and specifically designed to maximize gym time and improve each client's movement with regard to their daily physical demands and long-term goals. Matt deeply believes that play and exploration are absolute needs for human joy and physical/mental health, and should always be part of any fitness programming.

Some fun tidbits about Matt: His first job out of college was teaching slide lectures at the Smithsonian entitled "The History of American Decorative Arts and Furniture Design". He toured the East Coast for six years as a drummer for a DC-based funk band. Has ALL the ADHD.

A workout focused on weight training, abdominals, and those hard-to-reach areas. Expect weights, with some moderate cardio thrown in! LIVE! classes provide an in-person experience while being concurrently live streamed to our virtual members. Please note that in-person participants may be seen online. Classes are not recorded. Members can sign-up 6 days in advance and cancel up to 4 hours before class start time.

Circuit Training meets play in this high-energy workout! Using a variety of props such as dumbbells, kettlebells, med balls, battle ropes, and more, you’ll go through creative circuits focused on engaging the body and mind, and improving strength, agility, balance, endurance, and cardio. Expect careful instruction, with an eye towards injury mitigation and longevity. All levels welcome!Members can sign-up 6 days in advance and cancel up to 4 hours before class start time.
