The Heart of Meditation: an iRest Yoga Nidra Series

Heal unresolved issues in your body and mind. Develop your toolbox for calm amidst all the changing circumstances of life. iRest is an evidence-based meditation practice that helps alleviate insomnia, anxiety, fear, and depression. This 6-week iRest course will teach you a practice to help you relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve your interpersonal relationships and provide you with greater mastery and control in your life. A workbook and other resources will be provided for your continued practice after the series.

Yoga for Beginners Workshop

This Yoga workshop is for anyone who is considering starting a yoga practice, or any practicing yogi who finds themselves leaving their favorite class with questions. Erica will lead a comfortable non-intimidating workshop with space for all your questions. She will focus on a selection of fundamental poses as well as the classic Sun Salutation A, in order to provide a basis of comfort and safety so you will feel confident when attending public yoga classes, or practicing on your own.

Inversions Made Easy

This workshop is a gentle introductory-level exploration of inversions and how to safely execute them. Inversions have many benefits, including boosting your circulation and vascular system, lymphatic system, as well as building core and upper body strength, and balance. Bonus: an increase in confidence and gain a new perspective!

Try this 90-minute workshop and discover the inversion practice that is best suited for you! Summer will discuss the foundations to achieve the approachable inversions like down dog and standing forward folds, as well as more advanced versions like shoulder stand, headstand, and handstands.

About Summer Summer has been teaching yoga and performing massage bodywork for 20 years. Her yoga work is based in somatics and specializes in movement re-patterning. Summer aspires to help clients find their own way of moving in a supportive and nurturing environment. 

Hands, Feet, and Face Workshop

The hands, feet, and face have more nerve endings per square inch than most other areas of the body, yet they are often neglected in many fitness modalities. Join Jerry in this 2-hour workshop and learn simple, effective, easy to repeat exercises and drills that will bring dexterity and intelligence to your hands, feet, and face, leading to improved brain function.

About Jerry Using range of motion exercises in conjunction with props to help people build awareness in latent/sleeping parts of the body, uncover unknown sensitivities, and bring health to muscles, connective tissue, and joints. Jerry then uses this awareness to encourage one's yoga practice to develop in a harmonious manner.

Main themes throughout classes are learning to internally map the routes of the nervous system, honing in on subtle-body sensations, and creating/maintaining a state of active meditation.


Art of Yoga: Weekend Training

Austin welcomes long-time certified teacher and student of Iyengar Yoga, Jo Zukovich. Bringing nearly 40 years of yoga experience, teaching classes and workshops in the U.S. and abroad, owning yoga studios, training teachers, and traveling to India several times to study with the Iyengar family. Yoga is her lifelong passion and her dedication and love of the art of yoga shows in her teaching.

Yoga is an art, exercise, and meditation that opens one to new experiences and enlightenment teaches us to be more compassionate and brings a feeling of joy.

Students and teachers of all yoga traditions are welcome to attend. Some yoga experience recommended, but this will be an All Levels workshop. Don’t miss it!

About Jo: Jo is a Junior Intermediate III Iyengar Certified Instructor visiting from San Diego, CA. Starting her yoga journey under the instruction of Mary Dunn in 1979, Jo travels the world sharing her knowledge, expertise, and love for this practice in an accessible and welcoming way for all. Her classes are dynamic, energetic and fun. We are excited to host Jo at our Downtown location for a weekend of expansion and play.
