Staff Spotlight: Jeremy Sims

Staff Spotlight Jeremy Sims Personal Trainer

When you come to Castle Hill Fitness, you’re entering so much more than just a gym. You’re entering a community – an innovative hub of talented professionals who are here to support your fitness and wellness journey. Between our two locations, there are over 70 employees that contribute to our multifaceted fitness family – and each of them have a story. In our Staff Spotlight, get to know the unique individuals that bring the sparkle to our gem of a gym.

1. What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
Tina Turner is my all-time favorite artist. The challenges she’s faced and overcome alone are enough. But let’s not forget that voice, those legs, and that hair!

2. What is your go-to “healthy” snack or meal? What is your go-to “treat”?
Healthy snack – Apples and peanut butter
Go-to Treat – Without a doubt, it has to be a pan-style pizza with garlic dipping sauce. Doesn’t matter the toppings, I want it!

3. What are your top 3 favorite exercises of the moment?
Burpees- they can be performed anywhere, no equipment needed, and it’s a full body workout.
Single-leg deadlift – works on balance while building those hammies.
BOSU exercises – anything that adds balance is okay in my book!

4. Describe your health and fitness philosophy in ONE WORD. Why that word?
Dynamic  – keeping things new, interesting, and fun.

5. How will clients feel after working with you?
Accomplished, motivated, and surprised. I love it when people realize their potential and become happier with themselves.

Jeremy has showcased his passion for high energy fitness since his high school years, captaining his school’s basketball and four-year state qualifying track and field teams, then going on to compete in collegiate track and field jump.

After Jeremy completed six years as a combat rescue swimmer in the Navy Special Warfare, he went on to finish a two-year personal training program in Austin Community College, so he could start helping people in their own fitness journeys. Jeremy’s main focus lies in conditioning, bodyweight and balancing exercises, and water aerobics.

Say goodbye to a fear of swimming with a retired Navy Rescue Swimmer as an instructor! Jeremy makes it a point for you to enjoy your workout and makes pushing your boundaries fun. Your cheeks will burn from smiling just as much as everything else.
