A seasonal social club that discusses books on health and wellness topics.
As a part of celebrating World Qigong & Tai Chi Day on April 25, Jeff Bowman will be presenting 'Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind' by Shunryu Suzuki, for discussion at our April CHF Book Club Meeting.
Published 40 years ago, 'Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind' has become one of the great modern Zen classics. A book highly recommended to first time readers on Zen philosophy, as well as studied thoroughly. We are looking forward to hearing from all of you in this lively book discussion.
Bring a friend, everyone is welcome! While reading the book is encouraged, it's not necessary. Let's come together and learn.

A Quote from Good Reads about the Book:
"In the forty years since its original publication, 'Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind' has become one of the great modern Zen classics, much beloved, much reread, and much recommended as the best first book to read on Zen. Suzuki Roshi presents the basics - from the details of posture and breathing in zazen to the perception of nonduality - in a way that is not only remarkably clear, but that also resonates with the joy of insight from the first to the last page. It's a book to come back to time and time again as an inspiration to the practice."
