Join Kori for a three week series to explore Yoga Nidra, an ancient practice of deep relaxation. Moving from a state of consciousness that is between waking and sleeping, you will experience a quiet inner world with the verbal guidance of Kori. During the course you will find your mental “safe space”, develop your visualization skills, and learn a new skill set to incorporate relaxation into your daily life. WITH Kim Schaefer 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays
In this 5 week course, you will learn how to prepare for and stay safe while turning yourself upside down. The focus will be using the preparatory forms of handstand, forearm stand, and lots of core strengtheners to build a safe headstand and supported shoulder stand, the king and queen of asana. In addition to building the strength necessary to hold these poses, you will learn alternate poses if you have neck/shoulder injuries or are in need of a gentler practice. Inversions offer a host of benefits when practiced regularly, including improved circulation and increased immunity. Join Asana lab to build your confidence and experience how fun it is to put your feet in the air!

Join Kim in these two-hour group practice where we have the time and space to prepare the body for more advanced poses.
Please join us if you are comfortable with inversions, can push up into full wheel unassisted, and if you feel at ease honoring your limits and observing a challenging pose unfold.
The intention of this group practice is to come together with the larger Austin yoga community to share tips and tricks, laughter and good company as we intelligently work the physical body.

Kim has a gift for guiding her students through the hard work and challenge of asana practice with laughter and humility. Her clear and encouraging teaching style allows even those new to yoga to feel supported and motivated. Her love for teaching is demonstrated in her warm, caring and approachable nature. The Anusara® Yoga Teacher Training is for those who have dedicated themselves to the practice of Anusara Yoga and aspire to teach others. Through a supportive learning environment trainee's can expect to understand how to teach the Universal Principles of Alignment, connect to the heart of the student through theming and learn effective teaching skills such as observation, classroom organization, and sequencing.
Completion of an Immersion is a pre-requisite that prepares student for the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training. Graduates of the Immersion and teacher training will be able to register thru Yoga alliance at the 200 RYT level. With two years of teaching experience, plus additional requirements that can be found on Anusara's website, graduates will qualify to apply for Anusara-Inspired™ status thru Anusara® Yoga.
Charly Pivert is a Certified Anusara® Yoga Instructor who has studied with John Friend since 1994. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Charly brings a deep understanding of how the physical practice of Yoga can connect to one's heart and have the power to transform lives. Charly teaches and lives in Austin, Texas.
