The Psoas is one of the key muscles of the deep core. Join Sara as you learn how to stretch, strengthen and lengthen this core muscle. This is an all levels workshop geared for the avid athlete, the everyday desk worker and the Pilates enthusiast. Purposefully engaging your psoas helps you engage stronger glutes, lengthen through your quads and allows you to move dynamically and fluidly throughout your day. Through dynamic stretching, muscle activation and self-massage you'll find that a true understanding of this muscle leads to greater flexibility through your hips/pelvis and a path to conquering lower back pain. Also a great introduction to the pilates studio and repertoire, this class will lead you on a tour of the pilates Cadillac, reformer and chair.
