Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga is a system originally taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India that consists of six series of postures, beginning with the Primary Series, that take the practitioner from a fundamental, yet challenging realm of basic postures into a more complex, physically demanding, and energetic expression of yoga asana. Practitioners are taught individually in a group setting that is customized to the needs of each student. We offer a full Mysore program of classes six days-a-week, following the traditional custom of resting on Saturdays and full and new Moon DaysNo practice on full moon and new moon days according to the Ashtanga tradition. The no practice dates for late 2014 are:
 Aug 10, Aug 25, Sept 8, Sept 24, Oct 8, Oct 23, Nov 6, Dec 21.
