Yoga Private Instruction
Traditionally, yoga was taught as a one-on-one practice. Private sessions provide a friendly and intimate setting in which the student's individuality can be honored and celebrated. Using an approach that is gradual and gentle, private instruction focuses on sequencing postures and breathing exercises in a way that is highly therapeutic and meets specific physical and psychological needs. Attentively guided by verbal instruction, demonstration, and hands-on adjustments, students will discover how core and muscle strength, stamina, range of motion, and flexibility can be developed in a way that is relevant to their own body, life experience, and personal goals.
Aside from transforming exercise into an empowering and enjoyable experience, private yoga sessions allow our certified instructors to evaluate each student's health, fitness, injuries, restrictions, and goals to design a personalized program they can eventually lead to self-practice. Moreover students will acquire a solid knowledge of yoga's fundamental poses (asanas) and of their correct body alignment, thereby preparing students to safely transition from private to group setting.
