Cory Laurel Cory began swimming when she was 4 years old and just hasn't stopped. She joined US Swimming Association when she was 6 and competed in age group swimming for 12 years. As an age group swimmer Cory qualified for the Southern Zone Team twice, trained with Olympian Josh Davis and was coached by Eddie Reese and Janet Risser. All of her years of competitive swimming led her to coach others. While attending college in Austin she coached competitive swimmers in McAllen, Texas for 4 summers and in San Antonio for 1 summer. She also has experience teaching adults and triathletes. Cory received a Molecular Biology degree from UT Austin in 1997.
