The Castle is big: we house state of the art cybex weight training equipment; a “torture chamber” where you can discover the fundamental movements of the Pilates method; a movement studio dedicated to yoga, stretching, dance, and the like; a climbing facility, equipped with a revolving treadwall, two traverse walls plus incline climbing space; a pool area equipped with three SwimEx pools; and a sophisticated multi-sport room for cardiocycling, cardio kickboxing, and circuit training. Why go to a gym when you can come to The Castle?

Good Morning Yoga - Thurs. 7 a.m. / Beginner Yoga - Sun. 11:30 a.m.

These classes are designed for newcomers. Basic postures are covered, placing emphasis on proper alignment, form and breath work. These classes borrow from a variety of yoga disciples to keep your workout interesting and varied.

Cardio Kickboxing - Tues. 7a.m. & Sat. 11:30 a.m.

Gain confidence, strength and the lean muscular physique you deserve in the cardio kickboxing class. Learn how to properly throw punches and kicks, bring together combinations, and get in the best shape of your life. We hit 80 pound prolevel bags here; we do not swing in the air.

Cardio Strength - Tues. 12 p.m.

This high calorie burning class incorporates a “station to station” format and elevates your heart rate through cardio work. The pace will be fast and the music will be pumping. The ever changing workout will alternate plyometrics, indoor cycling, step aerobics, strength training, outdoor running, medicine ball exercises and core work. Form and flexibility will be emphasized throughout.

Indoor Cycling - Mon. 7 a.m. / Cardiocycle - Sat. 9:30 a.m.

This spinning class is extremely high energy and focuses on muscular strength and endurance as well as cardiovascular fitness. Neissa turns up the music and she mixes up the workout by climbing hills, racing down hills and spinning through rough terrain. Heart rate monitors and cadence meters are provided to direct your effort.

Power Sculpting Circuit - Wed. 7 a.m.

A fast-paced body shaping class that works every major muscle group while keeping your heart rate up. You will burn fat, improve muscular conditioning and reshape your body. The right size weights will be recommended for each student, depending on fitness level. You will increase lean body mass by combining high repetition weight training with music in an aerobic environment.

Beyond the Mat - Tues. 7 a.m.

The Pilates Mat workout is enhanced by use of spinal barrels, foam rollers, magic circles, Theraband resistance and other quality props to offer greater variety and keep your workouts interesting. Follow their metronome-like rhythm set with voice and sound cues. This class guides you through the ten traditional Mat exercises, but the level is ambitious and geared toward the intermediate and advanced student.

Stretching - Thurs. 12 p.m.

A veteran massage therapist blends her experience of yoga, pilates, traditional stretching, muscle rolling, shiatsu, chi-gong and injury prevention for a rejuvenating approach to the most neglected component of our fitness regime. The hour long session is enhanced by the use of props.
