WITH Russill Paul
Saturday

Enter the Portal Where Sound Meets Yoga
3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 17th

Join Russill Paul, nationally renowned author, musician and teacher for a workshop and evening kirtan based on The Yoga of Sound. Russill is one of the pioneers who brought the sonic aspect of yoga to North America writing the first trade book on the subject and producing an array of bestselling CDs. During the workshop, you will learn key concepts of how sound can serve as the medium for yogic experience and you will encounter firsthand the healing and transformative power of mantras and music. Russill (aka Anirud Jaidev) trained extensively in India and is steeped in the knowledge and practice of mantra. He can sing, explain and accompany group chanting in unimaginable ways, playing multiple instruments simultaneously. Having presented his work nationwide and worldwide over the last 25 years at many prominent learning centers (Omega, Kripalu, Esalen, Hollyhock), this is a unique opportunity to chant, learn and personally connect with a world renowned musician and teacher who just happens to be an Austinite!
