Dido's wall class was terrific — first wall yoga class I've ever taken, and I loved it!
I'd like to send kudos to the Mysore Ashtanga yoga teachers who continue to come rain or shine...
The instructors are articulate, knowledgeable, and attentive to their pupils.
Faiza is a wonderful teacher and I always feel so much better for having gone to her class.

Eriko Yokoyama

Eriko Yokoyama
Eriko got on the Ashtanga train in 2004 and has not looked back ever since. She has been teaching yoga since 2006 and studied with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore India in 2007. She has been a student of Paul Dallaghan since 2008. Eriko believes in daily practice and an incremental approach appropriate for each student's current level. Eriko is grateful for positive changes which practice has brought about in her life, and she wishes to assist other students as they discover the wonderful benefits of their own journey.

Jenny Russo

Jenny Russo
Jenny was introduced to yoga 15 years ago. In 2004, she completed her first teacher training program with Clayton Horton. She studied closely under his care and participated in his Mysore assistant program at Greenpath Yoga in San Francisco. She completed another "teacher training" with David Swenson in 2007. Her appreciation for Eastern practices, including Vipassana Meditation and traditional Ashtanga Mysore-style yoga, draw her continually to India. She has found the Ashtanga practice most useful to effect cleansing and self awareness. In India, she has studied under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Sharath and Saraswati, as well as Rolf Naujokat. Now, back in Texas, her intention is to inspire conscious living in her own community. Jenny's classes incorporate movement with breath to aid in circulation within each system of the body. This way, toxins can be released and the usage of energy becomes efficient. She works with beginners to build strength, stamina and flexibility. She encourages her students to use their practice as an opportunity to turn inward and find stillness.

Matt Borer

Matt is a full time yoga instructor mainly in the Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow traditions. He likes to call his style of instruction "yoga mutt:" taking a little bit of information from every resource possible and integrating it into each class. With over 12 years of personal practice and over 6,000 hours of teaching time, there is a lot of experiential knowledge combined with compassion and patience to be had in his classes. You will laugh as hard as you work and will enjoy a wonderful sense of community, friendship, and self awareness throughout the process. When not teaching, Matt can be found here in Austin playing music, two-steppin, and rock climbing wherever there is available rock! Rhonda, a.k.a. "Uma's mama," took her first yoga class in 1997 and began teaching in 2002. Her teaching is grounded in the ashtanga vinyasa tradition and then opens and expands from there.

Rhonda's principle teacher is Richard Freeman and she taught at his studio, the Yoga Workshop, prior to moving to Austin. She enjoys teaching a strong class that is empowering, mindful and emphasizes alignment and meditative flow. Through life's joys and obstacles Rhonda continues to be grateful to get on the mat and knock at the door of self discovery.

Check out Rhonda's prenatal yoga demo video on youtube. It was filmed three days before the birth of her daughter. She's 41 weeks pregnant. http://youtu.be/UThiJs_Pq-E

Sharon Moon

Sharon Moon
(Website)
Sharon has been a student of yoga since 1972. After a 12 year detour into Tae Kwon Do she fell in love with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 1994. She has been teaching it nationally and internationally for 15 years. She first learned Ashtanga from David Swenson and then went on to study directly with Guruji Pattabhi Jois, his son Manju Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois. Over the years she has also been inspired by senior Ashtanga teachers Nancy Gilgoff, Dena Kingsberg, Louise Ellis and Mark Darby. Sharon feels yoga has given her life structure, depth, meaning, and purpose in ways she never imagined it could. She sees yoga as a tool to take us to the sweet place within our hearts and to bring lightness of being into our lives. She strives to impart these things into her teaching. Sheila Singh

Sheila Singh
Sheila is inspired by many traditions of yoga. She sees her mat as a place for compassionate self-inquiry and healing and hopes to hold a space for students to do the same. Students can expect a meditative and fluid quality in Sheila's class and can hopefully find a place to nourish their bodies, quiet their mind and use the breath as a powerful way to connect to spirit and experience.
