Ashtanga is a system originally taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India that consists of six series of postures, beginning with the Primary Series, that take the practitioner from a fundamental, yet challenging realm of basic postures into a more complex, physically demanding, and energetic expression of yoga asana. Practitioners are taught individually in a group setting that is customized to the needs of each student. We offer a full Mysore program of classes six days-a-week, following the traditional custom of resting on Saturdays and full and new Moon DaysNo practice on full moon and new moon days according to the Ashtanga tradition.
