Anne Schultz

Anne Schultz
Anne Schultz is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor. She has practiced yoga since 1994 and has taught yoga since 1997. She currently studies locally with Devon Dederich in Austin. Anne-Marie regularly attends workshops and teacher training sessions with senior instructors in the Iyengar tradition. She studies most closely with Eddy Marks, Mary Obendorfer, Laurie Blakeney and George Purvis. She recently spent a month studying at the Iyengar Institute in Pune, India.

Anne is also a professor of Philosophy at Baylor University in Waco.

Brigitte Edery

Brigitte Edery
Brigitte's been a devoted student of yoga since 1987 and has been registered as a certified yoga teacher through the Yoga Alliance since 2003.She began practicing yoga after years of chronic back pain and a severe accident that left her blind in one eye. Her first experience (of yoga) was with Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga in NYC. After moving to Austin in 1989, she discovered the healing benefits of Iyengar Yoga, a system of Hatha known for its precision and structural alignment. Most recently, her love of yoga has led her to John Friend's Anusara® Yoga which integrates universal principles of alignment with a life affirming, heart expanding tantric philosophy that rocks! She has attained 'Anusara Inspired' status through her extensive study and practice of this transformative style. When she's not on the mat practicing or teaching, Brigitte loves to paint, travel, dance (especially West African), read and relax with family and friends.

Charly Pivert is a Certified Anusara® Yoga Instructor who has studied with John Friend since 1994. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Charly brings a deep understanding of how the physical practice of Yoga can connect to one's heart and have the power to transform lives. Charly teaches and lives in Austin, Texas.

Karlie Lemos

Karlie Lemos
Karlie is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level, but has acquired over 400 hours of formal training and is working toward Anusara Inspired Status. Her training includes work with John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Christina Sell, Shiva Rea, Dharma Mittra, Mirka Kraftsow and with Baba Hari Das at the Mount Madonna Ashram where she studied philosophy. She was introduced to the practice of yoga in 1998 and took the seat of the teacher in 2005.

Students in Karlie's classes can look forward to an informative, introspective and challenging class that meets each student at their level. Because of her background in the Iyengar tradition and training in Anusara, alignment and patience are the cornerstones of Karlie's practice and her teaching. She believes students can discover a lot about their potential through a heart centered practice and disciplined meditation.

Kellie Arnold

Kellie Arnold
Kellie Arnold is an Anusara-Inspired™ instructor. She first found yoga when searching for the next physical activity to challenge her body. She fell in love with it when she found it soothed her mind as well. She originally trained with Baron Baptiste who taught her how to be herself. Then she found Anusara® Yoga which continued her passion for authenticity while adding the alignment for the nerdy engineer inside. Her classes illustrate her journey; a journey that can take on many forms and yet at the heart of the practice is goodness and bliss.

Kim Schaefer

Kim Schaefer
Kim graduated from Yoga Yoga's 200-hour Hatha Teacher Training program in 2006 and has since been immersed in the heart-centered practice of Anusara Yoga. She has completed a 108-hour Immersion and two Level I and Level II Anusara teacher trainings with certified Anusara teacher Christina Sell. She has studied Yoga Therapeutics with Noah Maze and Desiree Rumbaugh and has taken several workshops with Anusara Yoga founder John Friend. Currently, Kim is an Anusara-Inspired™ teacher and is working toward her Anusara® certification. In addition to her Anusara® training, over the years Kim has been fortunate to study Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, to take workshops with Donna Farhi, Sean Corne, and Jonny Kest, and to study the principles of Ayurvedic medicine with Robert Svoboda and Craig Williams. In her work as a therapeutic bodyworker and heart-centered healer, Kim uses a variety of modalities to encourage clients to connect deeply with their own spiritual essence. Kim is trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Pre- and Post-Natal Massage and Trigger Point Therapy. She also has advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute. Kim is inspired by the inner light that radiates from each of her students when they practice yoga and offers a sincere and compassionate approach to all of her clients. Liz Belile

Liz Belile
Liz Belile started practicing the Iyengar method of yoga while living in Los Angeles in 1991. She began her study of Anusara Yoga when she met John Friend in The Woodlands in 1998 and has continued the path with steadfast passion and love ever since. Liz is particularly interested in therapeutic applications of the Anusara principles and has studied therapeutics with John Friend for several years. In 2009, she completed Part II of John Friend's Advanced Therapeutics Training. Liz has been teaching yoga since 1999 and is also a bodyworker. She is passionate about women's health issues and about helping people find relief from chronic pain.

Mandy Eubanks

Mandy Eubanks is a certified Anusara® Yoga teacher who was introduced to yoga in 2003 while still living in her hometown of Tulsa, OK. In 2005 she moved to Austin, Texas where she was first introduced to Anusara Yoga. Mandy's heart was touched by the method, practice, and the Anusara community and since then Mandy has been a dedicated student of Anusara Yoga. She has trained extensively with John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga. She has also studied closely with several other certified Anusara Yoga teachers. Mandy's teaching style is playful and nurturing. She strives to create a safe and supportive space in which students can grow and expand in her Anusara® classes.

Sam Rice

Sam Rice is an Anusara-Inspired™ instructor. She was introduced to yoga as a way to relieve a low back injury and quickly found out that a regular practice brought relief in her low back and an awakening inside herself that she was not expecting but that once experienced, kept her coming back to the mat. Sam's yoga background is in Iyengar and Anusara Yoga. She is dedicated to delving deeper into the Anusara method and she is currently a student of Christina Sell. Sam has also studied with Darren Rhodes, Lois Steinberg, Jodi Petlin, and many other amazing teachers. She wishes to create a welcoming environment in her classes and "strongly encourages laughter and humility while playfully exploring a student's edge." Sam's classes focuses on alignment and on helping students to open their bodies and gain body awareness. It is the possibility of transformation that inspires Sam's practice the most and she hopes to pass on some of the insight and inspiration she has gained from her own teachers to all of her students.
